The Forest of Dean is buzzing with arts and crafts classes and places to visit! There is plenty to do all year round, here are a few ideas for your consideration.
Jo Snowdon Stained Glass
If you like the look of the stained glass in the cottage and you have always wanted to have a go, why not come along to one of my classes! I run classes every week, sometimes in the week and sometimes at the weekend.

Rachel Shilston – Inspiring Creativity
Next door to my workshop is Rachel Shilston, who runs fun and relaxing classes in mosaics. She also runs a paint club, children’s parties, hen/stag do’s and themed events. She’s got years of experience and you will have a great time at one her classes!

Taurus Crafts
Right next door to myself and Rachel is a lovely craft centre called Taurus Crafts. They hold regular events, markets, exhibitions and they have a good selection of shops. They also have a large cafe with outdoor seating and a play area for small children.

Birds Pottery Littledean
Georgie Bird runs a lovely selection of classes from her pottery in Littledean, just a mile down the road from the cottage.

The George at Newnham
Regular exhibitions are held upstairs in the gallery at The George at Newnham on Severn. Downstairs there is a lovely cafe.

This is the fabulous exhibition space of Sharon Harvey who curates the exhibitions and also has her own studio here in Newnham on Severn.

Sarah Delahoy Printmaker
Sarah works from her studio at her home in Drybrook. She is a talented Printmaker who creates her own stunning works as well as running printmaking workshops in linocut, collagraph and drypoint.

Silver Ali is a silversmith based in Drybrook who runs beginners classes.
